THE BASTARDIZATIOM OF THE THRONE OF IGWE IN IGBOLAND The throne of Igwe or Eze in Igbo land is traditional and ancestral. The Eze stool is meant to be sacred and full of divinity and power. It was the oracle that chose who would be king of his people in Igbo land. The traditional Igbo stool enjoyed unadulterated divinity, and sacrosanctity and power, which had direci spiritual link with the gods. THE IGWE STOOL IS ANCESTRAL AND TRADITIONAL AND NOT POLITICAL The Nze-na-Ọzọ title holders constitute  the king makers whose duty was to prepare the chosen king according to the demand of traditional tenets of the land.
