THE CAR GIFTS OF SHAME TO THE IGWE

THE CAR GIFTS OF SHAME TO THE IGWE
written by Mazi Ngozi Osuji
Trending now is that Prince Arthur Eze, has gifted the 12 Anambra Igwes he controversially took to Abuja with SUV cars and they are; 1. Igwe of Igbariam, 2. Igwe of Alor, 3. Igwe of Ifitedunu, 4. Igwe of Nawfia, 5. Igwe of Ezira, 6. Igwe of Abacha, 7. Igwe of Owelle, 8. Igwe of Mkpunando, 9. Igwe of Ezinifite, 10. Igwe of Umumbo, 11. Igwe of Eziagulu, 12. Igwe of Ikenga. These are the prodigal Igwes who  left their sacred thrones and allowed themselves to be used as political pawns in the hands of Prince Arthur Eze of Ukpo.
Prince Arthur Eze's recent car gift to the twelve scandalous Anambra Igwes is not only a face saving act,  but a clear disrespect and desecration on the thrones of our Igbo ancestors. The Igwe throne is not a political office and must not be belittled the way Arthur Eze has done and continue to do to the sacred thrones of Igbo ancestors.
The Igwe as a custodian of Igbo culture and traditions is not meant to leave his Royal stool in pursuit of any political adventures and jamborees. Any Igwe or Eze that is worth the throne he is occupying, must not be meddlesome of any political issues. Politics is a dirty game in Nigeria while the players are equally dirty themselves, as they continue to swim in and out of bribery and corruption, lies, dishonesty, immorality and blood letting.
The throne of Igwe is sacred and that is how the Igwe who occupy it should been seen. Any thing short of that is abominable, sacrilegious and  unacceptable. The Igwe is a god who should  never bow for anybody, material things or earthly wealth. But what we have seen in this scenerio that is playing out, is that,  this crop of Igwes are not living up to their traditional and ancestral calling by falling mugu( fools ) to Arthur Eze because of paper money.
What Prince Arthur Eze is doing with the Igwes is political, and he has no right to defecate on the throne of Igbo ancestors, by dragging the kings into this mud of shame and controversy.
Prince Arthur Eze, in as much as he has the right to gift anybody he pleases, but while is he politicizing his gifts to these unfortunate Igwes?;  thereby  messing up and shaming the sacred thrones they occupy. Recalling Arthur Eze's first controversially failed attempt to drag these Igwes to Abuja with a bribe money of 250,000 naira, and additional 2 million naira pledge which he reneged by reducing it to 500,000 naira.
His recent actions by marshalling out an SUV worth fifty million naira each to the embattled 12  kings,  is a testimony to his unrepentant and deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the sacred thrones of our ancestors. This is because these recent car gifts to these prodigal Igwes is not done in good faith,  but a dirty political game rethorics for which Nigerian politics is notoriously known. My questions, are, must Arthur Eze be so mean as to drag these Igbo Royal fathers into those mess knowing fully well that they are sacred kings not cut out for Nigeria's brand of dirty and bloody politics?
On the foregoing, therefore, to save their names and thrones from further damages by Arthur's political intrigues, they Igwes involved should cleverly reject any car gifts from anybody, and go back to their ancient kingdoms and reflect on their mistakes and appease the gods of the land and their people and never to be taken for a political ride again by any political demagogue

The thrones of Igwe or Eze in the entire Igbo land must be accorded the maximum respect they deserve, because they are the sacred stools of our departed Igbo ancestors, while those who are occupying these sacred thrones must not fumble with them, neither should any political demagogue be allowed to take advantage of the monetary weak points of these kings to mess up our traditional and ancestral heritage.

THE BASTARDIZATION OF THE THRONE OF IGWE IN I GBO LAND

THE BASTARDIZATIOM OF THE THRONE OF IGWE IN IGBOLAND The throne of Igwe or Eze in Igbo land is traditional and ancestral. The Eze stool is meant to be sacred and full of divinity and power. It was the oracle that chose who would be king of his people in Igbo land. The traditional Igbo stool enjoyed unadulterated divinity, and sacrosanctity and power, which had direci spiritual link with the gods. THE IGWE STOOL IS ANCESTRAL AND TRADITIONAL AND NOT POLITICAL The Nze-na-Ọzọ title holders constitute  the king makers whose duty was to prepare the chosen king according to the demand of traditional tenets of the land.
