THE VANITY OF AN IGBO PRESIDENCY

THE VANITY OF IGBO PRESIDENCY
By Mazi Mike Ngozi Osuji.
The word vanity ordinarily means something that doesn't profit anything. Vanity is a moment of profanity and an action that produces momentary enjoyment, happiness or success.  A situation that can give you a fleeting excitement and joy  only to be followed by regrets, pain and trauma.
Comparably, therefore, the idea of Igbo presidency wears the same garb as a moment of vanity in an ordinary atmosphere of human achievement. After the Biafran war of 1967-1970, totaling a whole period of 56 years, the Igbo nation has been systematically sidelined by the rest of the Nigerian nation. The Igbos were denied their rightful positions in the scheme of things in Nigeria, in order words,  they were treated as a conquered people.
There has been an undeniable facts that national conspiracy exists against the Igbo race from producing a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction.
Late Dr.Alex Ekwueme, who founded the G- 33 that metamorphosed into a political party, known today as PDP, was betrayed at the PDP convention in Jos, 1999, after having been routed to be the PDP presidential flagbearer. He was replaced by his northern friends with one Olushegun Obasanjo, who was hurriedly released from prison and elected as PDP flag bearer, in a sham primary election. This is because he was Igbo and a war vanquished.
Dr. Chuba Okadigbo was disgraced and impeached from his exalted position as the then senate president, a betrayal championed by the government of the day because he was Igbo and a war vanquished.
Chief Alex Enwerem succeeded him and was again booted out of office  and impeached from hisexalted office as senate president because why? He was Igbo and a war vanquished.

The Nigerian currency was introduced after the Biafran war, in 1973, the name of which was coined from the word, "Never allow Igbo Rule Again", and that is how Naira was named. The name Naira is a product of conspiracy against the Igbo race not to rule Nigeria again. This conspiracy was followed by massive marginalization of the Igbo race in all aspects of national endeavors, both political, economic, and civil positions.
Two northern citizens, mainly, Mr. David mark, Alhaji Bukola Saraki,  have each held exalted positions, as senate presidents, after, Chief Alex Enwerem, and Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, and were never impeached because they were northerners.
Now, tell me, how, this Buhari government that came with a northern agenda to funalize and islamize Nigeria will allow an Igbo presidency after hijacking every electoral, security, economic, and financial positions to the Fulani north. Therefore, it is foolish delusional, and unthinkable to believe that Fulani north and Yoruba west will cede Nigerian presidency to the Igbo race after deploying their terrorist foot solders to the South to complete their  Fulani conquest of the Southeast.
The Southeast political leaders consisting of the ruling governors, senators, house of representative members party bigwigs  and Ohaneze Ndigbo must  wear their thinking caps, and set political correctness aside and see that the idea of Igbo presidency being dangled in theur faces by their northern colleagues is delusional, deceitful, unachievable,
The northern leaders made up of governors, emirs, senators and party chieftains are not in anyway playing politics. They are in this northern agenda of the conquest of the southern region together, but the Southeast political leaders seem too frightened and blinded to read and decipher the body languages of the northern politicians which they are no longer hidding by virtue of their open romance with the terrorists groups.
Even though, the fanatical northern leaders, decide to shift their ground and allow an Igbo president to emerge, he will be bombarded with godfatheric conditions in favour of the north which will lead to his presidential failure in governance.
Most importantly, you cannot compare eight ordinary years of Igbo presidency, which may likely face crisis, with a robust life transforming, destiny impacting, infrastructural development enhancing sovereignty in perpetuity of the Biafran nation.
Finally, I think the best option available to these Igbo leaders is to neglect the idea of Igbo presidency, and join forces with IPOB covertly or otherwise towards the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra.
